Hey guys...Recently my LS8 started bucking alittle on high load low rpm conditions...I swapped the plugs and it went away.

The check engine light came on one time while it was bucking and I have no idea how to turn it off on this car.

Also where the heck is the ALDL in this car, I went to autozone to have them run the codes when I first got it and neither them nor I could find it.

the odbII port is just under the edge of the dash panel to the right of the steering wheel - where the center console touches.

I swear we both looked there...Oh well...Is a scan tool the only way to turn it off??

just get your head under the dash - by law it has to be uncovered and within 3' of the steering wheel.

depends on the error code.

non-fatal errors can be cleared by dis-connecting your battery for 10mins. If it shows up again - you have a problem.

Fatal errors - no option - fix the problem.

I assume like every other car that the radio pre-sets and ect. will be erased.

Is there a anti-theft on the radio?? I had an eclipse and when I unhooked the batt. the radio locked and needed a code to unlock which the orginal owner set and could not be changed and of course I didn't have it and I had to replace the factory head unit.

nope - radio presets are fine, seat presets are fine.

some of the 'advanced' radio features - like speed volume, DSP, ...etc will need to be reset.
