NE one have cherry bombs glass pack on their ls was thinking about getting them cuz they are cheap

The LS is not a civic...and do you ever search??

Would you be deleting mufflers and Res and adding a pair on? I don't think it would sound rice, I'm pretty sure it has a deep, muscle car sound with them. You could try some slp, manapacks, aeroturbine resonators without mufflers for a deep sounding exhaust, proably on the louder side too

Wow, I could so help with a post or two. But i've already posted it before. Since the OP is too lazy to search, I am too lazy to repost.

Sorry, fella.

You realize that the V8 in the LS is a very small displacement engine, right?

No we dont realize that because we are all idiots.

doesnt matter it still sounds like a 4.6 with the right exhaust.

exactly, the LS 3.9L V8 would sound exactly like two 1.8L 4 banger civics running right next to each other.

a 4.6 does sound a little better than a 3.9, but neither will sound like a real V8 like a LSX or a big block

You're entitled to your opinion. And I wasn't talking to you anyways. Putting on glass packs to make an LS sound louder is rice. You're not going to get that "deep, muscle car sound with them" with them. Period. And that's what I was responding to. Keep thinking what you will though.

Well im talking to you now. Did i say glasspacks??

I have magnaflow xpipe, resonator delete and magnaflow mufflers.

It sounds nothing like rice.

And im sure glasspacks wont sound like rice either....its not a 4 cyl engine.

I'd like to know how you came up with this? Have you ever heard a civic? Have you heard a civic with an exhaust? Lol sorry but not even three or four or five of them would sound nothing like our V8. Completely different engine characteristics they could never ever be comparable in sound.

OP Check out Dynomax mufflers, I have them on my LS. They are fairly inexpensive and with a resonator change out and x-pipe they sound pretty good. It doesn't sound like two civics running next to each other if thats what you were hoping

No, but Alax7 did, and he was the one I responded to; before you attempted to pick a fight. Do you have problems following posts on a forum?

I just touched on displacement. There are multiple other factors that make an engine produce the exhaust tone/sound that it does in conjunction with the mufflers. What all mods have you done to your LS? Did you replace the cams with custom ground ones? Or, are you one of those that's done a CAI and thinks they're hard sh!t?

Don't get me wrong, your car probably sounds nice. However, I seriously doubt it has that "deep, muscle car sound", which is what my response was to (again, you'd know this if you were following the thread).

If the LS with an exhaust on it doesn't have a deep "muscley" tone. How would you describe it? It certainly doesn't sound ricey or even tuned like some M3s do or Audis.

Im not trying to pick a fight. Last time i checked a forum is an open discussion between multiple parties.

I dont think im hard :q:q:q:q.

I just know that it sounds good. The engine is a small V8 but its still a V8. Therefore with exhaust it has a rumble.

Its all subjective.

A deep muscle car sound can be anywhere from a rather mellow stock mustang gt sound to a loped cam of a chevelle ss with headers.

are you serious right now, its called math, the explosion of fuel is what creates the sound, the size and shape of this explosion determines how it sounds, then the exhaust modifys it. no exhaust has enough magic to make an engine sound bigger than it really is.

we have a very very small V8, if you where to take a real look at the engines you would be able to see that our V8 is exactly like two honda 4 cyl's connected together at the crank, so two honda I4's would have just about the same displacement as our motor, having more pistons that are the same size dont make it any deeper sounding, it just makes more of the same sound. now take the V8 out of a corvette, the much much bigger pistons (aka larger displacement) are what gives it that deep V8 tone

Completely different engine characteristics they could never ever be comparable in sound.
please elaborate on the difference in characteristics between the two engines

and as far as having heard civics, yes i have heard stock civics, ive heard stock civics with rice cannons (which are just straight pass through mufflers, and exactly like cherry bombs ) i've also heard 350fwhp turbo'ed civics that would blow away almost all LS's and most mustangs, and they have all sounded the same with the exception of how loud they are.

i supposed next you are going to tell me that the 3.9 LS is so much deeper sounding than the 3.0 LS and that they sound nothing alike, right?

also I have the distinct joy of having some kid that has an LS that parks in the parking lot next to my house, both him and his brother both have autozone straight through mufflers on his LS and his brothers thunderbird, bottom line they both sound like sh!t, and neither one of them have a "muscle car tone" to them. you really cant tell that they are not some ricers that drive through.

a 427 has a muscle car sound, a Z06 has a muscle car sound. a SRT8 challanger has a muscle car sound

a small displacement V8 like the jag 3.9 or even the 4.0 S4's dont really sound like muscle cars, it may have more of a "muscley sound" but its not really fooling anybody.

also an audi 4.0 S4 doesn't really sound any different from a 3.9 LS

Speaking of math....it's 241 cubic inchs.

And, i don't know why the hell is everyone complaining about the engine in the LS or the way the exhaust sounds. It's got a nice baritone/exotic tone to it. What's wrong with that......

Okay 1LoudLS w/o quoting and editing your posts to reply I'll keep this short and as sweet as possible.

I'm not saying that our V8 is going to sound like a muscle car or a large displacement V8, obviously it never will. I'd also like to agree with you and have mercy with you that you have to listen to that kids LS. But again in no way would my car (from personal experience) in no way ever sound like multiple civics riding next to each other. I'm perfectly aware of how the engines are designed but the simple fact that our V8 has a small displacement does NOT mean that it sounds like two civics.

I understand the point your trying to make and I'm actually on your side. But I'm sorry your example of the LS sounding like two civics right next to each other is absurd. There's alot of variables that factor into the sound of an exhaust. The LS and the Civic is absolutely NOT comparable in sound.
