I will be buying a chip within the Next month, I am most likely going to go with the LMS chip.
here are the specs
10-12 RWHP
15% more torque:D
1 MPG more (was hoping this was a little bit more)
Can anyone give me the specs of reinhart's chip? He doesn't have any info on his Chip about performance gains:rolleyes:
I have heard of SCT but should I really go with that? How does this SCT work, will it come pre prorammed?:confused:

SCT is well worth the extra $100 over a chip, It reads & clears codes,If you have a laptop, you can datalog with it, if you need to make any changes to your tune, the tuner emails you the update.With a chip, you have to remove it from the car & mail it back to have the changes made.The SCT will come pre-programmed with 1-3 different tunes, depending who you buy it from

So with the SCT, you will get more power or just about the same? And if I do make changes to my car, will LMS change the chip to my car for free or do I have to pay to get it updated again?

With SCT you can get a program as good as any.

But, With SCT you can have your stock tune, a nitrous tune, and a dead tune, for example. Dead tune=theives won't be able to start your car without changing programs. Easy to do.

You could get three different street tunes, and pick which one you want to use for your mood of the day. Maybe you like rough shifts on fridays, and not otherwise.

[shrug]

Apples and oranges. If you just want one program and you have faith in someone to give you a program that really suites all your needs in one program, just get a chip. [swallows hard]

I would spend the extra hundred. That would be the smart thing for any car enthusiast who cares enough to find a website dedicated to their car.

I doubt it. It has to be handled /shipped twice.

SCT=Once, ever, no matter what.
