I noticed recently that once in a while when I go WOT in drive it will chirp the tires on the 1-2 shift. I mean it does it every time when I manually shift but it surpised the hell out of me when it did it in drive. Is this transmission related possibly?

Mine does that all the time - I did the 1-2 accumulator mod and left out the bottom spring.

Is your trans stock?

I don't know what all do you have done to it? My 95 will SMOKE em on the 1-2 shift, but the stage 4 shift kit is responsible for that.

My tranny is stock with increased line pressure via SCT chip. I have new 1-2 accumulator and Mercon 5 fluid, none of the springs have been removed.

Serg...1 word.... CHIP!

that's what the EPC control is added in for... faster/firmer shifts. translation? CHIRP!

Just be careful with manual shifting now. The ECU knows you are manually shifting when you move the gear selector out of D. It then increases the line pressure as well. So, chip, + manual shifting = ALOT more line prerssure.

I don't know but my conti does it all the time when shifting from 1-2 in full throttle. I don't think it chirps from the tires but it loooks like it comes from the tranny. Is the tranny bad or something? Sometimes my TC and Mark will chirp during 1-2

It never did this before I have had the chip in there since last October.

then you have a bad accumlator spring my car use to chrip all the time stock then I was told this and so I bought a shift kit and it came with the replace ment springs so I was all set.

Now my car in drive now is killer and I dont even have a chip yet. If cruising at at 30 and need to make a red light and you floor it, you hear the tires start to slip when it down shifts and then it rips in to second leaveing behind some nice patchs. If your ever in joliet and you take the route I do to work and back all you see are tire marks were you have to accelarate to make it in to traffic.

Also at the track it shift hard as hell your goning get mega whiplash if you dont have a neckbrace on, because it doesnt really or can break em loose since route 66 is treated really good and I think its one of the best in the US

ignore the first part I said I didnt know you got a new spring, also how common is it to have the belt slip during the 1-2 shift, because if I give it gas and let off after I pass or whatever and it shift after I let off I hear a weeeeeheat, and I thought I had a intake leak but Me and my friends comfirmed it was the belt
