Has anybody used any sort of chrome spray paint or covering ? I want to try to paint the orange bumper corner reflector chrome to match the chrome on the bumper. I figure since the strip on the bumper isnt really "chrome", just shiny plastic i could try to match it on the corner light. I did buy some automotive chrome paint but it looks more like bright silver than chrome. If this isnt possible i'll just paint it black, but i like the look of chrome on the black car.

the 'real' chrome paint is very expansive and tricky to apply - but it is becoming more popular. The 'chrome looking' spray paint that you can buy at the autoparts store never looks like the lid....

I have come to find that out. I practiced on some plastic bottles and it just doesnt look right. I even tried putting clearcoat over it and that just screwed it up worse. I would be willing to buy whatever is used on the lid !! What is "expensive" for the real stuff ? I really want to have the chrome bumper continue around thru the marker light. Black is an option but it makes the chrome look too incomplete.

I agree I was painted the grille today and was thinking the same thing I wish I could chrome those markes instead of black or clear .... If you find out drop a line on it

"Ideal for any damaged reflective surface such as light bezels, inside of bumpers, bumper guards (overriders) and more! Apply over clean, rust-free surfaces. This acrylic lacquer is the closest paint to chrome plating and polished aluminum."

This has been my best find yet. For $10.99 it might be worth a try. Eastwood is a good company.
