Instead of changing both bumpers, isn't there a way to change the chrome moldings? Can you paint them or have them replaced with black?

What year is your LS? On the 2000-2002 LS's the chrome trim is held into place with clips behind the bumper. So, removal without taking the bumper off could get hairy. I've seen numerous LS's with the chrome strip painted the same color as the car and it looks really good. If it were my car I'd see how much a local paint shop would charge to paint it to match. This way you know it would match and look good.

The first thing I did when I bought my car was take it to get the chrome moldings painted. I know a guy that runs a body shop but also does private work in his garage. He charged me somewhere around $150 to paint all the chrome and it still looks great. I recommend it.

Thanks! I'm taking it to a shop to get the chrome painted. This forum is great.
