Cleaning engine compartment

How do I go from this

to this w/o damaging a sensor?

1 Get a bottle of spray nine
2 power wash the damn thing
3 wait till it drys
4and then get a can of silicone spray

to hell with silicone spray of any type. Silicone is a painters nightmare.


I clean them with a garden hose, and simple green. Last time I used a power washer, i smoked 2 pulley bearings, and my belt on the 98. Never again.
