96 running rough changed plugs .... found a bad coil pack...runs great now.... coil packs on most ford products will work mine were for a ford ranger so I will see how well they hold up.btw just passed the 100 thou mark!

Hey John just wanted to say thanks for the reply. Got this 96 Lincoln last Sept. And really like it. Had a 93 Caddy several years back and I liked it as well but alas my wife hated it but she loves the Lincoln. Frankly both cars were very well maintained and when they get about this age a few things will start going wrong from wear...to be expected....I could have went with the air ride but decided to switch to springs and I sort of regret that decision, not that it rides bad now but I found that only one bag really had any cracks after removing them so.... Well anyway what's done is done.... This Lincoln is styled very well and I like the full length rear lights. I traded out the stereo that was a double din and had a subwoofer for a Clarion system and after figuring out that I had to rewire from the trunk to dash it was a great swap! Don't know that I will modify anything else but it was fun to work on this car and as my wife said it was cheaper than going to therapy as I find working on cars to be relaxing.
