Hi, i would be grateful if anyone could point me in the right direction here, i have a 1992 Bill Blass Mk Vii. If i accelerate from low revs whilst the engine is cold it hesitates or misfires (it can stall if you are pulling off from stopped, and can only be restarted by cranking over the engine with the gas pedal hard on the floor). When the engine is hot it runs perfectly. Any ideas anyone?

Possibly a bad fuel pressure regulator. It would be a good idea to pull codes to see if there are any known faults. If there are a series of issues shown in the codes it could complicate matters.

Do a code scan before you start throwing parts at your car. It can be done with a simple piece of wire and a list of diagnostic codes. What is the general condition of your Mark? How is the gas mileage?

Hi, sorry for not being in touch, i havent been able to get on for for a while.

Thanx for all your advice, i had serviced the car; oil, plugs, filters (havent done fuel yet) but i was going to test the fuel pressure as suggested by JoshMcMadMack. I got the kit shipped from the US but have not had the time to do it. The car is still driveable, you just have to pull off real easy when it is cold. It seems to be slightly worse in damp weather, could it be distributer cap or plug leads adding to this?

The car is in pretty good shape, it came over from Florida in Feb this year, its done just over 100k miles and gets around 15 round town and 24 highway, does this sound normal?

I got some time owing, so i'll get the pressure checked and take it from there.

JSev22: How do i do that code scan with the wire? do you have the list of codes?

Thanx
