I have read the search for Cobra brakes and I'm still confused. I have cancer, my thought process wasn't that great before and with the drugs they have me on now, sometimes I'm just about retarded. So any guidance would help. I saw the Cobra calipers on E-bay. All I have to do is buy the bracket that extends the calipers out a bit? Then have the rotors redrilled? Is that it? Also The rear calipers look just like ours, Are they?

Thanks for any help,

Greg

For the front i believe thats all you need but you need the cobra 13 inch rotors too. BTW I like your car a lot looks real good.

I haven't done it but from what i hear the fronts are direct bolt on except the brake line fitting doesn't mount correctly so you have to chip away some metal. The backs don't fit the same. Now I've never tried the corbas but this is what I've read in the past.

FRONT:
Use 96-04 cobra or Mach 1 calipers and brackets along with 13" rotors either drilled to your bolt pattern (the hub bore is the same size) or hub swap to 4.50 Mustang bolt pattern.
Grind down 1/16 of the banjo block to clear the caliper. You can also grind the caliper but they are usually nicely podercoated and you don't want to destroy that.

REAR:
Keep the stock calipers, get 12" cobra rotors and drill them to Lincoln bolt pattern. You have to use a hub centric ring to center the rotor since the cobra hub bore is bigger that the lincoln bore, but only in the rear. Fabricate extension brackets to move the caliper out to clear the bigger rotor. You can purchase a set of relocation brackets and rings for about $80 from Ed on TCCOA.

Thank you m-maker. That is everything I needed. Truly, thanks for your time.
