Hey all. Many of you are familiar with my car, and I am considering selling it. Ideally I would want $6,000 out of it, but I know that won't happen. I'll entertain any reasonable offers, including trades.
About the "Bullitt"
This is a one-of-a-kind vehicle. It has 169k on the odometer, but this is on a replacement odometer. The car actually has closer to 150k on it. The engine and drivetrain are stock, save for the removed air silencer and Super Turbo mufflers with dumps. The alternator and battery are about a year old, along with the battery cables. Spark plugs, wires, cap, and rotor are all less than two years old. The intake and valve cover gaskets have been replaced, as well as the PCV valve and thermostat (180º). The radiator is six months old. The air suspension is in excellent condition, with Ford bags that are relatively new. The starter, starter relay, and ignition switch are brand new. It starts easily, runs smooth, and the transmission shifts like it should. The air conditioning has been changed to R134a. It was cold when I drove it this summer, but I think it still has a small leak somewhere. This would simple require finding the leak, replacing the o-ring, and recharging; the hard part has been done and it works well!
The steering rack is worn, but still works fine. It gets a little stiff in the cold, but not too bad and should work fine for a long time to come. The brakes could use maintenance, simply pads, calipers, and turned rotors. The brake system works well with a relatively new accumulator. The ABS has a fault with the front left sensor; I never got around to fixing it. It will be a cheap fix, either a new sensor, wire, or both.
The car was painted just over two years ago. All of the trim was shaved, along with the handles. Has a full alarm with the shaved handle kit as well. The air suspension is wired to a control box in the trunk that can independently move any bag up or down. This is not a fast bag setup, but does provide full control over the system.
The paint is not perfect. The area where the door handles were shaved was not finished properly, so there is cracking of the paint. There is no induced rust, but it is cosmetic. Personally I would smooth and repaint the doors, which would not take too much. The trunk lid has some rust on the lip, which showed up quite quickly. It is unfortunate, but could be repaired relatively easily. The rims and tires are in great shape; BFG 245/50R17 tires do not throw off the speedometer and have lots of tread left. The paint is decent overall despite the imperfections noted.
The interior is something you either love or hate; there seems to be no one in-between. The upholstery is all black carpet, and very unique. I find it nice, and pretty easy to clean too. The Bill Blass electric gauges also add to the “cool” factor, as most people cannot believe they are stock. The stereo is custom and complete; Full dot-matrix MP3 head unit, Pioneer speakers all around, 2 10” subwoofers, and 1800watts worth of sound from two amps. The subwoofers are not set up to annoy everyone down the street; they are for enjoying the “full” aspect of music and are much more potent inside the car than outside.
I have a lot of manuals for the car: owner’s manual, Ford EVTM, Ford Service Manual, Haynes, Chilton. These may or may not go with the car, depending on the conditions of the sale.
