I have a 1995 continental, and it just has a tape deck. I want a cd player that will be plug and play, but I am having trouble finding a stock one for this year. Does anyone know what, if any, different makes, models or years would be plug and play? Anything from ford, lincoln mercury? What years? Thanks for the help!

not sure which type your looking for. My 96 Conti has a floor shifter and a double dim ( this is what its called i do believe.) cass player with a CD changer in the arm rest. I would buy an after market double dim CD player as they are way better the the stock Conti, explorer, Nav, etc CD players. My CD player is busted, my dads Navigator's CD player is busted, and so is my sisters 01 Cougars. For low $200 my sister bought a double dim CD player ( Kenwood ) and you can find them even cheaper, and it wont be in the arm rest or glove box. However if u want a 6 changer in the dash i know explorors used to have them but those broke too just like the one in my sisters cougar. I'd say go after market get the adaptor wire from pepboys/autozone so no wiring needs to be done.

You know the conti often uses an external amplifier and tuner in the trunk right. If you replace the deck you may need a adapter harness to work with the amp or need to rewire. Some continentals also have an optional cd changer in the trunk which also interfaces in the trunk as well.
