I have a bone stock 95 Mark VIII.. I'm curious as to how my 1/8 mile times stack up with ya'll 1/4 mile runs. My reaction time is .65 on a .500 tree, and the top end time and speed were 10.16 at 71 miles per hour. Like I said, just curious, and to lazy to figure it out myself... Thanks ya'll for the help..

:L

Here are some of my old time slips, taken the first time I raced my 94 in bone stock form.

I had-spare tire/jack in trunk, 50lbs of crap in trunk, 3/4 tank of gas, and no traction.

Hope this serve as a guide to your car's 1/4 mile time.

My best 660 time(1/8 mi) was
9.729, but I dont have that time slip on my web space.

here are my 15.00 times

Of course, you should realize, the 15.10 was "off the throttle" since it was bracket racing....to avoid a break out.
hope that helps.

Posted calculators and converters will get you close, but I've found tracking your own individual's car performance will yield a different conversion since most calculators and converters are setup for a much lighter car.

My latest numbers ended up being 1/8 mile ET x 1.5433 = 1/4 mile ET and 1/8 MPH x 1.2597 = 1/4 MPH.

So using your 1/8th mile results of 10.16 @ 71, my conversions would yield 15.68 @ 89.44.

Your mileage may vary{disclaimer}.

translation?

your car needs some work. I would seriously need to know what your 60-foot times are.(most refer to these as "short times")

perhaps traction is an issue? But seriously, a bone-stock Mark VIII (both gen 1 and gen 2, base or LSC) should run no slower than 15.25-15.30's or so.

The only times I have are for my 95' at the beginning of the season (My Reaction time proves it). Skinny street tires and Mostly stock.......;)

Reaction...........1.014
60FT...............2.206
330FT..............6.255
ET @ 594........ 8.932
1/8thET...........9.520
1/8th MPH........76.51

This was my ONLY pass this season, and was only a "test and tune" at that. Next year should be ALOT better. ;)
