Well after much consideration I am converting to non air ride this weekend, ordered the kit this morning from StrutMasters.I know everybody has their opinion on this subject so I am not doggin' the air ride,I just want a more consistent predictable suspension. I have a Mustang that I race on road courses so I am used to aggressive handling,I just want a little more of that feel in my Mark VIII. Any tips on this swap are welcome. Thanks JC...

I wrote a tech article for Joey, a month ago. it is to replace the existing tech article I sent him last spring. I dont know if he has had a chance to update it.

email me if you want the current one.

BTW, I have installed 4 of the coil conversion kits, and each of the new owners were very pleased. Myself...I couldnt be happier with mine!

I highly recommend you replace your rear shocks, and if needed, rear upper shock mounts. That way you have new supression both front AND rear, to compliment the ride.

For some folks, air ride just isnt "their thing". leave the nay-sayers to say nay, while you drive with complete peace of mind.

again, email me if you need any help. Coil conversions is my thang! They dont call me "boingy" for nothing!

It's an easy install. It took me and my buddy like an hour. And the car still rides smooth. Not a big difference. My bags and compressor went, and this is a much cheaper fix. Good luck.

I agree the Swap is easy. The kit comes with instructions that are easy to follow and so is the tech article from BlackIceLSC. I had both handy.

You can regain some of your cost by placing the old useable parts on eBay.

Just trying to thing of any glitches but can't think of any. This is not a long job!

Oh if you go to aftermarket shocks you may need a different size bottom bolt for your shock.
