What really surprised me was India. Very developed. And in the U.S., you can pick out almost every major city. I think it is very cool.
 
its pretty cool how you can see the major cities like someone else pointed out, but whats even better is if you were to live in africa or australia the could probably see how the stars and galaxy line up without all the light pollution we here in the states have.
 
The contrast between North and South Korea is interesting. The trans Siberian railway is also quite visible. And take a look at the north shore of Alaska; looks like some major drilling going on.

Terra Server REALLY became interesting when Microsoft aquired the Russian photos. Though dated, some were even more detailed than the US photos!
 
I think it's pretty neat that you can see the Marinas trench (check the really really dark spot off the eastern coast of Japan). 36,000 ft deep.
