ok here's whats goin on. After doing my fuel pump today i decided to fix an oil leak i've had, it was that pesky gasket between the oil filter mount and the block. Coolant flows through this piece and when i took it off all the coolant came flowing out of the radiotor, no surprise here. I put it back together with the new gasket and attempted to fill it back up with coolant up top. The little coolant resevior was still full and the radiotor is still empty. I ran the car for a wile hoping that after it warmed up it would suck the coolant out of the resevior but thats no happening. I figured it was air in the system causin this problem to i unscrewed that valve up top near the alternator.. lots of air came out but still didnt help. Not sure what else to do, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You have to fill it up at the crossover tube cap by the alternator. Fill it up until it is at the top of the cap, start the car let it run for like ever so that the thermostat opens, and then fill it up the rest of the way. :Beer

and leave the crossover tube cap open the whole time? or fill it, then shut it.... let it run, then fill it? or?? lol. My old cars have so much more simplicity, open the radiotor cap and pour, end of story. Thanks for the help.

I leave the cap off, the only bad thing is that it takes a LONG time for it to heat up because the system is pressure based and will take a while for the thermostat to open up. :Beer
