I know a couple of you guys showed interest, so lets make it official. Friday night fun night + midnight August 29th at Cordova. Here are some more details. Hope to see you all there!

29 Fri Friday Fun Night - Test, Trophy & Gamblers
Open @ 5:30pm Race 6:00pm - 10:00pm
Midnight Street Drags 11:00pm - 4:00am
(Cars Only) Street Legal, DOT Tires and Mufflers
Grudge Racing - Instant Green Starts - Flag Contest
 
MWB and i will be there (too bad im sure he will be driving the barn door) im gonna try and get a few others together
so lvc lets see some lincolns there, come whoop up on some ricer kids, and you can check out the ricer girls during the flag girl contest (at the last one there was some nice young nudity:))
 
I love when everyone assumes people know a name of some place! ;) Quad cities? Thats like me saying Fox Valley! :)

It's actually in Cordova. Near Davenport, IA, but other side of the river. Rock Island \ Moline area.
 
well if the parts show up and i can get them installed in time the thundermark will be there, hes got a converter on order and hes already got a new fuel pump and a different drive shaft for me to toss in.
 
i will, and MWB and the thundermark WILL BE THERE!! since someone is moving away and now i gotta finish the car before he moves (the day after cordova)
also i would like to add that this starts at 5:30 and runs to 4 am!!! i dunno what hotels are in the area so for anyone traveling be sure to be prepared for a long night
 
ok so thundermark is up and running and all is looking good, just wondering what time everyone is thinking they will be arriving, im trying to decide how long im gonna work on fri. its about 1.5~2 hours from work
 
I dont plan on being there real early. I would say sometime around 8 or later. Depends on what everyone else does.

any time can work for me, i gotta see what time my buddy(s) will be coming out. later works for me cuz then i can clean up after work, instead of runnin straight out
just a tip, make sure you got enough gas to make it home in the early am, i got a lil worried last time
 
let me make an official apology, im sorry. last night started off late, then MWB came down with food poisoning, and i couldnt get ahold of anyone else to make sure they were going, and i didnt want to drive 2 hours out, pay to get in to find out i was the only one that showed then drive 2 more hours back home. dmaup texted me around11:30 but it was already too late for me to head out. so next time we need to exchange phone numbers, so we can all make sure others are going. dmaup i saved your number this time and k9t8m you can pm me yours and ill save it. i hope you and k9t8m still had a good time.

but on the other side with MWB moving down near peoria he said that about the closest 1/4 mile track that he knows of, so we will be going some time this season, wanna see the thundermark in the 13's
 
If he is moving to Peoria he will be real close to me.

There were a TON of people there last night. Quite a few Tbirds, but me and Dmup were the only Mark Viii's. I think we represented them fairly well.

I actually missed the best part of the whole night. While I was in the staging lanes 2 of the flag girls got completely naked.

I ran a new personal best of 14.69 at 94mph. Its not as fast as i had hoped, but it will do.

Dmup had suggested that we plan on getting another event going for the midnight meyham happening in october. Would that work for anyone?
 
Yeah there is another night happening on October 3. I know I would like to go because that stinky 15.734 @ 90mps just isnt going to cut it. I need to do better. Got to get better at that whold driving thing.

those tires on there are getting near slicks so another month of driving might help ya out there, haha

Hopefully I won't flake on the next one, still don't know if i will run the milan or not tho, might have my old 88 lesabre back by then, maybe i'll run it.....
