So I got my LSE bumper on today and noticed a couple things I didn't necessarily consider.

First, There is a black piece of plastic that mounts to the underside of the radiator and rests on top of the black plastic that connects to the bottom of the bumper...basically, it makes kinda a ramp to the lower part of the radiator and the sides surround the radiator. I tried to take some pics, but it's tough to see. No idea if the pics help. Anyway, that piece is broken. I know in some older cars (my Camaros) the air dam seemed like a very pointless part but actually helped keep the car from overheating. Will removing this piece cause any overheating problems? It seems to channel air directly to the radiator. When I looked at it before I put the bumper on, the plastic seems to protect some parts below and around the radiator (mostly hoses and such) in case rocks fly up.
EDIT I looked at Tasca and the part appears to be number 5 "Air Deflector" Anyone know if I can just remove this thing or should I buy a new one?

Second, the fog lights that came with the new bumper don't work with my current connections. I wasn't aware of this problem. I tried to "rig" my current fog bulbs into the new round housings so I could use the stock wiring.

Third, I searched and saw that many people were having trouble getting a chrome insert at a decent price but that was posted a couple years ago. Anyone have any luck recently?

Check out my thread on the conversion. As far as the trim, I ordered through the dealer. I think it was around $140 or so.

Those pieces direct air into the radiator. Replace it.

I have been running without the chrome insert on my '06.
