Hi All,
2004 LS V8 Sport is at ~90K and feeling over-aged. Sure rides nice, put some of those BFG Comp-2 AS's on in mid-2016 just after purchase. Bought this for the younger kid to use, as the practical Town Car was just too old-foogy. But I sure like driving it when it's actually working (mostly). ..could use some heat now. But did get AC to work this summer.
1. Parking-lot Cracked upper Grill - Chrome/grey/black one needed, Will buy... see some of ya are selling parts, that's my first interest here.
2. Her 5R55S is unhappy and skipping school... err... shifts, missing 1-to-2 and 4-to-5, Reverse is OK. Looking at those AJ1E o-ringed mods to trans servos. (http://www.fordservoboretransmissionfixsolution.com/index.html). Any experiences either way? Finding trusted professional help on that one next week... seems another $ouch-boing$ right at the new year.
3. Leaky 8-spoke chromed-aluminum Lincoln standard-issue rims. Recommendations on sealing (can't yet afford to replace.) Batting 50% on these...
4. Oh, yea cold too, that mixing splinter-valves to the heater cores not getting a signal. Replaced that 3-tube connected part, up but radiator. Seems to be lacking electric power (diagnostic says shorted, but fuses are OK.)
5. Oh2 - ABS Traction Controller not working, but throwing no codes. Appears prior owners replaced the ABS unit with new, but they didn't get dealer to "register it to the databus-network". So neither have I, Not yet had the dealer mess with it. Trying to avoid the 'creative repairs team' approach to car maintenance.
