so i got the parents 2000 Dodge Caravan "sport" and there is a horrifying "hollow" creaking noise coming from the front end, drivers side. i even hear it when i get in and out of the car.

id bet tie rod end or ball joint, put a wrench on the tie rod and twist it back and forth see if it makes the sound/or it goes away

i grabbed the sway bar link and it moves a little, i'm not thinking its the ball joints because it dosen't drive weird... but it dose it make the noise with every move of the car

i think the sway bar links on a caravan dont turn with the wheel just from the bar to the lower arm. and just cuz it drives ok doesnt mean anything, have someone bounce the car and just put your hand on different components and you can "feel" the squeak

Have you found out what the problem is jet
just curious

sway bar links, i'm kicking my self because i put a vice-grips on the other side to keep the stud from spinning, all i needed to put a torx bit in the end of the stud
now i need to figure out what the transmission codes its throwing P0700, P1775
