custom console questions

alright, well here goes.
I hard wired my ipod into my head unit through in the back aux port. Well i want to run the wires so that they are in the console.. I have them run on the drivers side of the console but i dunno how to go about getting it acctually inside of the console its kinda next to it right now. How would i go about removing the console on my gen2 to get the wires inside.. also do i need to drill holes in the bottom of the console? any other suggestions to were to run the wire for the ipod, thought about the glove box but i dunno any suggestions on either how to get the wire in the console or some other place..

Do you have the phone jack in the front of the pocket? You can pop out the jack part and run them right through there.

You could also drill a hole down low in the console. I just got mine wired in to my 98 this is how I have it. I have almost 2 feet of cord inside the dash that pulls out when I need to change something on it, when not in use...it looks like that.
