D4 and D5

If that's true, start in d5, and shift over to d4 after the first shift.

No. D4 starts in first.

IIRC it is the same for a Non SST, D5 starts in 1st, D4 is in second.

D4 and D5 ALWAYS start in 1st. SST starts in second ('00-'02) unless >60% throttle is used.

I know Allen always says that - but are you sure? I swear if I leave it in D4 it's in a higher gear when I start from a stop. Try it.

Maybe I shouldn't try to type in bed when I am half asleep. I was trying to say the D4 and D5 start in 1st. The owners manual states something to the fact that D4 works in 1st thru 4th and D5 works in 1st through 5th.
