On my 2002 Lincoln LS v6 I recently failed NYS emissions inspection due to the system not being ready, despite doing over 1000 miles since changing a battery. So I went to do some inspections of my own under the hood and found that a hose which runs from the back of the intake manifold - via a rubber 90 degree elbow that has three little tubes in it - to a EVAP related pump on the drivers side of the engine and bolted to the top of the strut tower got melted after coming to rest on the exhaust manifold.

The tube is probably less then a 1/4 inch thick and is a faded yellow/dirty white in color and is encased in a black plastic loom.

I need a part number in order to replace it, any ideas how to locate one?

That's not a pump, that's a solenoid valve.
Are you talking about XW4Z-9D667-AB ?

Look at the illustrations here to see if you can identify it:

I attached two pictures of where the hose connected between.

I Also looked up the p/n of the solenoid and it comes back as an "EVAP BYPASS VALVE".
