Who here does it? I can't find anything through many, many Google searches about what parameters I would want to look for and monitor. I already have the laptop and Live Link program, BTW.

Help?

I have a tutorial file I can send you through email if you want. It might be able to better explain some of this stuff to you. Go to my site listed in my profile and get my email address from there and shoot me an email. I will reply back with the attached file. It is much too large to attach here. Once you have had the opportunity to read that over real quick it will probably answer allot of your questions. If you have any remaining specific questions after that then just ask.

One thing I will make quick mention of is that there is no one way to datalog. There will be different parameters (PID's) that you will want to log when tuning for part throttle driveability, tuning for WOT, tuning for transmission driveability, or logging to see if your fuel system is close to maxxed, or even logging to troubleshoot certain systems and so on.

Good luck.

Ditto,

I would like to know also, I have XCAL 3 but should be the same I imagine

Yes the logging will be the same. However, your X3 is allot more stable with on-device datalogging. The Xcal2 is best used in pass-through logging with a laptop. I still suggest to use pass-through logging with a laptop for most purposes because it allows much quicker data capture which means more accurate logs. That becomes important when you are sweeping through the MAF Ad Count range when tuning for WOT AFR's to name one thing.

I'm sure Robert's guide is all you need.

The SCT forums (although do not allow updating currently) do have a bunch of tutorials as well.

If you are going to add a wideband - the Innovate forums offer pinouts for their LC-1

I datalogged a lot with my XCal2 and now with my Livewire - I have both my LC-1 and my 3bar MAP connect to it.

I, too, would be interested in any info available concerning datalogging. I have both the Innovate laptop link for wideband O2 and the SCT link. The entity from which I got the SCT was mostly interested in my money and as little time as possible. Trying to look over his shoulder was impossible. Thanx for any help.
