First step - Complete.

Removed the gold pinstripe (there's nothing gold on the car?) and the aftermarket chrome rocker covers. Much cleaner look.

all thats left after that is removing the front license plate mount, and maybe some black eye lids

yes much better.

the chrome along the bottom of the doors...was that one of those dealer packages like when they add the vinyl top? ive never seen that before.

Unfortunately, Ohio requires a front plate, and they can be pretty anal about it in some areas. Since this is my daily driver, I'm going to keep it. I never did mount one on my Mustang, but only drive that about 2500 miles a year. This one sees a lot more road time, and therefore a lot more opportunity for trouble.

As for the eyelids, I'm not sure about that. Did cross my mind, though. Might mock it up with black tape and see what it looks like.

LS looks a LOT better. Love the Autumn Red paint. Just need some aftermarket rims.;)

Thanks. I figured you might be partial to the color. :)

And actually, I like the stock rims a lot. Probably won't change them out unless I fall into a smokin' deal on something I like better.

Beautiful color and the great lines of this car show much better without chrome or stripes.
Nice call.

Might have been OK if I had a tan interior (it's parchment), or if the stripe was silver to match the wheels, etc. The gold just didn't go with anything on the car. If I do anything toward replacing it, I might consider a black stripe. Subtle.

Here's a quick chop using the glare near the headlights to mimic the glare that would be on the eyebrows. If you could get a pic with minimal glare the eyebrows would look more Autumn Red, nice color btw, never the name of it til today.

Another one using the pic from the "considering painting grille" thread.

I say do the eyebrows. Paint the outter part of the grille to match.

Sorry for the sh!tty chops, my skills not near as good as some others here on the site.

that looks a lot better

maybe not so much the blacked out grill but the black eyelids and the tinted fogs look great.
