DEA in FL

I know the guy that got busted. He had six doctors hooking him up with prescription drugs. He was into a lot of other illegal things though. My buddy down there told me about this. He said something like 15 other people got busted. His name is Vincent Colangelo. I think I spelled it right. He is a career criminal. Cops even took his trailer park. Yes he owned a trailer park too.
 
Just did a search on Bing, He got busted back in february for running several pill mills, in south florida. Was busted back in 99 for trafficking in heroin and cocaine. Served 4 years in state prison. I guess he didn't learn. Just goes to show, that people will do anything for money.
 
In 04 he was a marijuanna trafficker. In 08, he decided that there wasn't enough money in it so he moved to Florida. He originally had six doctors whom he got pills from and in two years he owned 7 pain managment clinics. Needless to say, Im impressed. Last time I talked to him he said he was making around 100 grand a day and he just paid close to a mil in cash for a house in some gated community.
 
Yea, they mentioned the house. $859,000. Of course, all of this was a red flag for the feds. So, they started watching him. His name wasn't on any of the business ownership paperwork, but at the end of the day he was collecting the cash. Several doctors were also arrested.
They charge they have him on, is at least 20 years in prison. Not to mention, that they are trying to connect overdose death cases in other states, to any of his busnesses. If they do, he will never be a free man again.
 
I got a $1000 bucks that 20 years gets knocked down to like 12 or 15, but FED time is 80% mandatory. He has a great lawyer that got him 4 years on a 25 year max term. All the places they busted were not all his. 7 of them were. And yes when you are doing illegal chit, you don't want your name on all of paper work. From my understanding this is where he messed up.
Florida has no restrictions on who can own a pain clinic(in 08). I was told that they were in his name. He had other property is his girlfriends name that they took too.
I was also told that this is a country wide investigation. They put him out there because he was making a lot more money than the rest of them. He was also advertisng on craigslist. That is where he got most of the doctors. He would say in the add that they could make a million bucks a year is they saw 50 clients a day at his clinics. He also told me that he bought 1500 domain names to advertise in other states because out of state residents have to pay more for the scripts.
When you treat it like a business, it can be good. You start seeing it as a game, the game beats you.
It's chess not checkers.
