in my M8
i live in WI and now that it has gotten cold out when ever i start my M8 after its been sittin for awhile i have to hold it for alot longer than i use to
i was wondering if this is just the weather or is something low in my car because it just started reciently and its been cold for awhile now
also any tips on winter storage for M8 :)

if it only happens during a cold start it should not be a big deal. when i had my mark in NYC during last years winter, car started fine no hesitation! the only thing i can think of is why it started fine is because i had a 1000 CCA battery in my car. good luck!

Believe it or not, the EEC system does delay the fuel/ignition upon start to assure adequate lubrication. That along with lower voltage due to battery temperatures and colder fuel could result in perceptibly longer start times.

i was having the same problem for awhile, and then it got really cold today and my m8 wont start at all...im hoping someone has an idea

Check your battery and cable connections. The salt in the midwest ate my terminals up alive, when I removed them there was green corrosion in the wires.
I replaced them and the battery and all is well.
