ok...well the day of the big snow, i tried to get the mark out in an unplowed road. so the best way for me was to take off the tc, drop it into first, and just try to get it slidin in the right direction. so with the heater goin, i couldnt hear the rpms, and forgot that it was in first...so i was trying to get down the street for about 3-5min, all the while at about 3,000rpm...and the fiew times it reved to the max. first, is there still a rev limiter when you have selected a gear as opposed to "D"? secondly, i though i bent a pushrod, then i remembered, we dont have them...so what could it be..explination to come. also im quite sure that it is a drive train thing not suspension or stearing thing, cuz i can feel it through the back of my seat, and feel the car rumbeling on my right leg, when its lying against the console thingey, contrary to the nothing that i feel on the left, when against the door. What exactly is the problem? well it has a rumble, thats the best way i can describe it, not heard...but felt, when i go over say about 40mph and topping out at 70. though i only got up to 75 before i $hit my pants becasuse i realised im going 75 in the snow. so, any help would be much obliged. :)

Rumble? Like maybe an exhaust hanger got bent and the pipes are touching the bottom of the car?

like its definatly in the powertrain, nothing in the exhaust...actuall physical rumble not a noise.

It might be possible for a piece of ice to be stuck in the drivetrain and causing it to be out of balance.

i took my mark ice racing on a river last weekend and at the end there was so much snow and ice under the car i had to have the undercarriage blasted with hot water and dried at a hand wash place because i couldn't go above 40 mph without serious vibration.

I remember long ago back when I was a young lat in High School - (what a start LOL) I use to take my Mercury Bobcat out Snow Bopping! During snow storms I'd find roads that were plowed and then smash through the drift made from the plows at unplowed intersections! The engine would be completely covered and packed in snow!

it's a lot of fun, we use a local canal and make a track marked out with flags, spike the tires and let it rip.

i dont think you broke anythin but i do suggest a oil and trans fluid change asap 3000+ rpm in first is not good for the trans. and i am sure you must have cooked the fluid.

I liked hitting the leveas and sticks that were piled up in the fall. They would be sohard packed that you had to pull them out by hand befor they were on fire. witch also haponed some times. But that was an old ass mazda 626 so things starting on fire were normal.
