I'm gonna go look at a 2ND Gen 2003 LS V8 tomorrow.

I was wondering what (or if) are the manufactured differences between the 03/04/05/06 when looking at the V8 LS's only. (2nd Gen Only)

I know 2006 got the rear seat warmers.
Is there any difference to reliability, or suspension? Any parts different, such as ABS modules, Coolant system, pumps, electrics etc..
Any info would be greatly appreciated before I buy a 2003. Thanks so much.

the 06 has different bumpers than the 03-05 does.

the 06 will also have the most up to date parts when it comes to coils and the throttle body (rare failure but does happen on 03)

...I know 2006 got the rear seat warmers...

Those are optional on any year (at least for gen II). My 06 does not have that option.

The 03s were the first year for the 2nd gen, so they had a few bugs. Those bugs were pretty much worked out by 05. Not to worry though, they were minor, and have almost certainly already been corrected on any 03s and 04s out there by now. Little stuff like valve cover gaskets and transmission solenoid assemblies.

Thank you both for the reply.

This LS I'm going to look at has 46k miles on it. Its an 03. Dealer is asking $4888 CAD or - $3875 USD for it.
Says there's no accidents. Has car proof. 2 or maybe 3 owners, ill see on Car Fax.

@joegr with the LS only having 46k Miles on it, you think any of those issues are worked out? Better yet, I will look for the production date. Where can I find that on the LS 03? Thanks.

I think they would be. They seems more like time related than mileage related problems.
