I tried the DCL tuneup as recommended. The "Check Engine" and "Check DCL" alarms are less frequent, but not eliminated (may be heat related?) However, I introduced a new error - higher pitched, louder alarm beeps 5 times, repeats 5 times, at power on then every 1/2 hour. Do I need to replace the instrument cluster? Where (oh where) would I find one? PS: 92 Conti/Signature

You may need to replace it. But first off are there any mechanical problems with the car?? If there are it may be the problem and setting off Dash lights.

Best place to find a good cluster is a good used one at you're local junk yard. Thats where I would look.

thats probably an error from the SRS airbag controller. check the connection to the idiot light, if its not hooked up or the bulb is out, that is the kind of error you will get

What year is your Conti??? I have a good deal of experience with the Dash in the 88-94's... I can fix and eliminate (in most cases) the DCL error totally.
