Just placed an order for the Door Actuator on the 2003 Lincoln LS 3.9 V8 which is part number

Does the dash need to come out or is there a simpler way to change this? Trying to change mine cause I have seen the code for it, and with cars age it might be time to go ahead and change it before it breaks that road that @joegr said it could possibly break depending on how it fails.

Many thanks in advance if anyone has info on this.

Not much to that one.

Ok, Thanks @joegr My one main mechanic said it wouldn't be a problem for him. He said he has done a bunch of them in his time and said they should be fairly straight forward to change. I will pass that part of the workshop manual onto him thanks.

Be aware that the attachment tab of the recirculate door can break off -- That's what happened to mine. I super-glued it back together but never installed my actuator I bought. I didn't want to hear it snap back off on its first cycle. You may find that this has happened to yours as well. GLWR

Everything looked good in there he said and it was a breeze for him to change. So I guess I got lucky on that. He cycled it several times since changing it and it was working great he said. Bought to go pick up my car here in a bit once my wife gets home. But at least that code should not come back now.

Wow! What a major difference after having that part changed! Much better airflow in general on the A/C system now. I swear the air even feels cooler that is coming out now as well. Also, now it's very quiet now when turning the A/C on as I don't hear them loud clicks anymore.
