Does This Car Belong To Someone On Here?

He's got another video on YouTube also the car is lowered on springs and has speedstars if i remember right. He just had it up for sale a few weeks ago, I posted a comment on one of his videos and he mentioned he was a member here..I do remember seeing pics of his car here but don't know his username. Someone mentioned the guy was a douche for some reason..not sure why.

Didn't think to click the "More Info" but now I know what I need to get. I'm still going to get the muffled Magnaflow X-pipe and I guess Magnaflow mufflers.

So, this kit in SS

Then make a good muffler choice because I don't want mine to be loud, raspy or popping.

That is the kit I'm gonna buy as well, its on eBay for $180 I think, anyone find a better deal on it than that? I wanted to just do an x pipe with magnaflow mufflers, I just need to see some pics of the tail pipes so I can tell what offset of mufflers I need. Does anyone know if magnaflow mufflers are reversible since its not a chambered muffler?

From Magnaflow's web site.

"All mufflers are reversible for custom installation"

I used that pipe kit, but had to modify it. A Magnaflow 14386 (4x9x14) X-Pipe muffler and two Magnaflow 14211 (5x8x14) mufflers at the back. IMHO a 5x8 center muffler is too thick and wouldn't tuck up a much as I wanted it with my 4" driveshaft.

More pics and a sound clip here.

Thanks Doug, that's the sound I want. This is the one I'm getting, going by your number. I wasn't dead set on it being 5X8 oval but wanted it to be a Magnaflow X-Pipe & muffler all in one. I see what you're saying now about it fitting. As for the pipe kit, I'll let the shop worry with the modifications when it's installed but I'm getting the X-Pipe now and when Christmas is over with, I'll buy the rest and go have it put in. I heard a little "raspy" sound when you revved it up near the end but a little is to be expected and I'm not going to be revving anyway. I just like the quiet, no drone, no popping, raspy sounding exhaust. It might cost more but it's worth it in the end. I'm not half assing my exhaust. Really it will be identical to yours, all the way to the tips. :) Pypes $90 for the pair. They'll look purty though. I really do like the sound.

EDIT: Done deal for that part. Got it for $130 from this seller.

I think I remember selling some parts to someone named Andre Reed, but can't remember for sure. If so, then he's a member of at least one of the forums.

Won't be THAT identical....

Don't forget, he has headers, so it'll likely sound a little different.

Well, that means I'll be even quieter lol. I just don't want anything loud. Nice smooth even rumble is what I'm looking for. I did forget about his headers though. Either way, the X has now been bought. I'll get the rest in a couple of weeks or less.

I've been wanting to change my exhaust around a bit lately. I've had the same setup since sometime in 2004 and it's gotten to be a little boring.

I do have a set of Kooks headers sitting in the garage, on standby (since 2007 ), but I'll likely want to redo the whole thing once I finally get around to installing them...

I'm not sure what I'll be getting yet, but I do know that I want it to be loud! lol. :p

Some of you like them loud but I want to stay low toned. I drove my old black 94 around with no mufflers for a while and good God, that got on my nerves. It was loud, raspy, had drone but outside, it did sound good.

I just re-did my exhaust; no 3rd cat or mid body resonator, 2.5'' pipes all the way; stamped x-pipe crossover at mid-body; then FM 40's at the bumper; I like how mine sounds now, it's got a deep, smooth rumble at idle, but it's not terriblly loud at WOT; it breathes well and is not at all poppy, flappy, or raspy
....if I had it to do over I'd do the x-pipe muffler mid body first, then straight pipes to the bumper..then add mufflers back there later, as needed...
most important thing imo: find someone that will scrap the 3rd cat....some guys won't do it
...you may save a few dollars with this muffler if namebrand is not too important

Yeah, but it's not a car I drive very often.

I think I've only put 15-20k miles on the 98 in the last 5 years...

I gotta say, I got LMS xPansionx Mufflers from Geno and that's all I did. They sound OUTSTANDING on my Gen II. Everything else is stock. They actually sound very similar to the ones in your video.

Different license plate number....

Nice catch but he did post that video in his craiglist add claiming that is how the exhaust sounds. He probably had to change license plates between the time of the exhaust video and pictures of him selling it.

Now that, I didn't catch. :slam

You're welcome.

You paid too much. :(

$107.66 @ Performance Peddler using the Name Your Price feature.

Just $22.34 more. I'll live lol. All the others on eBay were 140.00 or more. I'm ok with the $130 and free shipping. I'll get the pipe kit next or find out from the shop if they can put me some SS in, mandrel bent for less than $245. Where do I need to get the mufflers from?

I have had mine since Jan 2010 and put maybe 4K to 5K on it.The 94 I had was driven 19K during it's 5 years of me owning it.

BOOM..there's the ad for the pewter 2nd gen you were talking about, just popped up in another thread on here.

That car is beautiful. Almost makes me wanna fly to Florida this weekend. Love the color combo!

no limit's exhaust vid, and kevin's craigslist post are the same car.

I bet $3500 would take it easy. Maybe less $3300 cash in hand. That one has the sound I like, the color combo I like, the wheels might be played out but they do look good on it and it's a 98. If it hangs around on there much longer, I might be seeing this view again....

This was when I flew to Tampa and Jamie picked me up at the airport when I bought the 95.

NewMark003.jpg

I stayed at this hotel before I drove back because it was pouring down so hard, I couldn't see and I just felt like getting a room anyway.

NewMark014.jpg

Don't even remember what the name of the place was but it had a hard bed. It was a fun trip though. Stood around in Jamie's shop all day and met some characters lol

His 93 with the swapped black interior was out front.

My black carpet in my 95 came out of this Rosemist he had in the shop.
NewMark016.jpg

A member on here had already gotten it and I had a motor out of the 93 setting in the garage. I gave him that engine for the carpet just to get it out of the garage. I think it was jherald or something like that. He don't come on here anymore. I gave him something else too off the 93 or 94 I had out back, oh yeah, the steering wheel air bag. I could have used the black carpet out of the 93 and it was mint but my dad cut the piss out of it trying to cut the one piece drive shaft in half. No, I wasn't here when he done that and yes, he managed to cut in half. He's passed on now but he done some stupid chit in his time and that was one of them.
