I have a 2001 LS V8 that keeps throwing a code for a misfire on cylinder #7. I changed out all the coils and spark plugs, fuel filter, air filter, cleaned my MAF sensor and used fuel system cleaner. But for some reason I keep have this re-occuring code. Ive had others say it could be a bad injector or possibly a burnt valve? I honestly dont know what to do next....but I cant afford to go on a witch hunt trying to fix this issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!!

Did you verify the gap of all plugs was 1.0mm, no more, no less?
Which exact four digit code do you get? (There is a code for unknown misfire, and there is a code for misfire due to primary circuit issue.)
Did you verify the connection to the #7 fuel injector?
Did you listen to the #7 fuel injector with a mechanic's stethoscope? (should hear it clicking)
How about doing a compression and leak-down test?
What happened just before this started?
Have you looked for air leaks? (smoke test?)

Its clicking for sure....I havent done a compression test being I work all the time. I was planning on changing the fuel injector on cylinder #7. I would occausionally get a code saying Bank 2 was having a lean read. The plugs I got was pre-gapped supposedly, which I replaced again. I have noticed at idle its worse....especially when the rpm's drop below 1000...more like 800? The nearest garage said I may need a injector or could have a issue with the cylinder itsself. They wanted 130.00 to look at it so I havent had it done yet.

Every pre-gap'd set that I've got had at least two wrong. (Still, probably not your issue.)
