Door ajar light and locks actuating

My son has a 04 LS v6. He keeps having issues with dead battery. we are pretty sure its related to the door ajar / door locks. The battery and alternator have all tested good. Sometimes during driving, the door ajar light will appear on the dash, even though we know the doors are closed. The "sensor" in the door is going bad.? We think this is happening at night randomly and causing the locks to actuate and interior lights to come on, thus draining the battery. We did pull the fuse that operates the interior lights, to help reduce the battery drain but this is not enough. It still sometimes comes up dead after say 2 days.

Looking for insight / experience from other LS owners on this issues. TIA

Yeah, pulling that fuse won't help much because the door being opened and closed wakes the car electronics up from sleep mode. If you had the V8, this would be easy, since it tells you which door is open. Maybe someone could sit and watch the light while someone else jiggles each door to see which one it is?
Once you find the correct door, it's the door latch assembly that you need. Some years and door positions are still available, but they are expensive. Ebay or a junkyard will be you best bets for getting a replacement.

Meanwhile, if you are parked in a garage, you can just leave the problem door (or all of them) open and the car will turn the lights off and go to sleep after twenty minutes or so and the battery will be okay.
