Door ajar light??????

Mydoor ajar light came on and wont go off. Replaced door jamb switch still the same. What gives?

Which switch? Do you mean the one at the hinges? If so, thats for lights and not the door ajar. Do a search and you will find every solution. Most involve WD-40.

either the interior of the latch is froze or you have a broken wire in the door jamb, remove the switch from the latch, but leave it plugged in, and work the switch and see if the light goes on and off, if it works swing the door through the full range of motion and recheck it, if all ok then you most likely need a latch

When I unhook the sensor in the catch inside the door the warning went away. If that fixes it then you just need a new latch if not it's the wiring.
