door hing crack ?

so my driver front door was kind of creaking, so took a look at the hinge.
found out that the plate has a crack in it to the left of the top screw.

any idea how to repair this ? will look at it in more detail this afternoon.

That's not a hinge...
(It's the door check.)

yes, aware it's not actually the hinge.

so i guess to repair, just have to drill out the rivet that holds the arm to the bracket,
and replace the bracket piece ?

Replace the whole assembly. It comes as one piece. There's a post about it here somewhere.....

Replace the whole assembly. It is not too difficult.
