If I remember correctly, it is part of the lock actuator assembly which will not be cheap. The part comes with a new lock actuator, latch, cable to your interior door handle and rod to your exterior door handle. The part is going to be $100-150 i believe.........depending on markup. There is no way to get just the latch as you have to purchase an entire latch assembly........just replaced mine a month ago.

are you talkin about the driver side interior door handle? if so i jus got mine fixed today . if its just the handle that broke then the part is about 43 bucks and i paid 120 overall with taxes to get it fixed. i`m not sure if its the same part but it sure sucked stickin my hand outside and opening the door from outside to get out of my car.. thank god its overwith.

door latch

My drivers side door latch just broke also on my 97' Lincoln Mark V111. What bites is I just went to the dealer to get a quote to get it fixed and they told me the part is $36.62, labor $112.50+, paint $100.00. Right now I have to get in the passenger side to open the drivers side to get in. I'm forced to get it fixed ASAP. I don't need any screw ups at this point to make costs worse. And my warranty won't cover this. If you're able to get it fixed for less than $250.00 let me know.
