My door locks don't work when you push the button you can hear them working through the cars stereo but the doors don't unlock is it the actuators or electrical thanks

Please elaborate. There is no way that your door locks function through your car stereo; what is it that you are refering to? Do either of the door locks work?

He mean he can hear in the speakers that there is an electical sound (feedback) telling him that the car is sending the signal, but the accuators don't seem to do anything.

Very common fualt of the M7. The accuators are very easy to get too and/or replace. Problem with them is the rubber boot that protects them from debris gets torn/missing over the years in combination with POOR door window dew wipes lets water/dust down in to the door and into the motor - hence they don't work. The accuators on my car (country road car) were locked up bigger than shiot and I replaced them with EXACT fit acuators from one lincoln continental and one t-bird. Not sure exactly what year of cars have them - but I heard conti's/towncars/mustang/birds/cougars at some point in thier life all had the same accuator. Might cross the PN with ford and see what they came in - if that is possible. I did find that if the car 80-90's have keyless entry on the door, the accuators were the same.
Now, not to say that these cars ALSO have bad accuators, since they are subject to the same abuse. I was able to find a few (for my pocket on the way out) that moved freely - lubed them up - been working since. You might be able to lube yours up also.
Now I would assume they are bad like i mention here - mainly due the electrical inferance you mentioned. That would tell me that SOMTHING is trying to work. It is possible (like my car also) the wire or connector to the accuator is ripped/missing/unplugged. It is common for people to DO AWAY with the accuators or unhook them after they stop working - since the motor is locked up, it is very difficult to turn the keyhole or even use the shaft in the door.

Long discusion over a very miniscule part really :)

No kidding? I never knew that the power lock wiring gave off that much interference. I've never had an actuator go out on me, though. That's kinda tough without the ol' door handles. ;)

true!!!

I for sure plan on shaving mine on the next car. I am going to wire it into the keyless entry panel though so instead of locks, It will pop the door. No hidden button - use the special code instead. This way If I forget my key fob, i can at least still get in the car.

As for interferance in the radio - if it is aftermarket radio i would say DEFFINTELY hear the fuzz. I can't seem to get rid of the HISS in my new system.

thanks guys goinjg to get some new ones off of ebay and then go from there.
