I've been toying with dyno tuning the LS. Its in summer mode now with the 20s on but Fall it will be to the track a few times. My Mark VIII is going to sit this year out as of now.
 
Stupid question. A dyno-tune tunes the actual ECU, right? If so I could sell off my SVT chip?
 
I believe not so. I think they will have to burn a chip for you, yours or another. Or you will need a tuner device like the Xcal to hold the tune. The computer itself is not permanately burned.
 
If you are in the Northern section of chicago, i went to Logan Motorsports in Elgin yesterday! they did my car fast and easy. they specialize in SCT tuners and are really reasonable.

Check out their website, they are modular specific on their products but they tune anything.!

i wonder if they can tune with the sct system? my friends mustang and my ls would probably visit there seeing how we are in green bay

are you talking about Logan Motorsports??? If so then YES! they specialize in SCT !!

Btw, I have nothing but good things to say about Logan. I'd have them build an intake for me but I already have one being made.
 
This place in GB has done plenty of 4.6L stuff. Im going to keep them in mind. I would probably need to get my knock sensors installed before I dyno though :)

We do in fact use SCT to tune F/L/M vehicles. We are proficiently
versed in other tuning platforms as well. like LSedit (GM), HP Tuners,
AEM, Haltech, Chrome, among other tuning software.

at 1130 tomorrow morning, i will be going to get 3 pulls done as well as possibly getting a custom tune done. cant wait to see what numbers i will come up with
