E-fans on a LS???????

well it turns out my hydraulic fan pump messed up and it is a very pretty penny to fix... Is it possible to bypass the hydraulic system and just put electric fans?? If so, How do I do it?? thanks in advance.

You'd do it the same way as any other car that has a clutch/hydraulic fan. Try a search here, I seem to remember someone doing this same thing on a Gen I LS.

Someone did it... I don't remember who though. The 03+ have an electric fan... if you can find one in the junk yard, just retrofit that in... (you'll need to get creative with the wiring)

I went with a flex fan called black magic that pushes 3300 cfm. Took about 4 hours to install. orks great even has temperature controller. Comes with rad probe, a/c relay. Had it installed about 2 months now no issues.

how much did it all cost you man?? Did you just remove the hydraulic pump or you left it there?? Mine is a 2001 V6 LS btw.
