I just heard about a new fuel called E85. Does anyone know about this fuel? Is it ok to run in our LS V8s? Around here it is only 85 cents a gallon. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Will not work on the LS. Tauruses with 3.0L OHV engines. Engine needs a fuel sensor to see what percent alcohol is in the fuel. Cost may be cheap but no road tax and less energy per gallon so fuel economy will be low and if everyone did it another source of revenue to pay for the roads will be needed.

Correct, Taxing by the mile with GPS and at the pump itself, has been in the talks for almost a year or more now. This would circumvent the need for another tax for the road comissions.

Here is a more recent article on the matter..
