ear ache

i have been having a ear ache for the past 9 days. I went to my doctor a couple days ago and he subscribed me some anti-biotics. is there anything else i could do since these anti-biotics are not working. If anyone knows anything it would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Ijust went through one like a month and a half ago, and I found this internet remedy to help with the pain (its also supposed to help draw crap out):take a clean rag, fill with salt, get it damp, and fold it up. Stick it in the microwave for like 10-15 seconds so its warm(dont burn yourself; also it should not be dry, damp). put it against your ear. Antibiotics take some time to kick in, but I'm not a doctor, so you should probably go call yours and tell them about the antibiotics.
