Since writing about my "Odd steering issues" I decided to whip out the code reader and pull the codes from my 1992 Conti Signature with the 3.8 liter V-6. Since I'm not a Ford tech, but have a book that came with the reader, I'm not sure where to go from here.....Maybe some one with more knowledge and experience can point me in the right direction?
Any way, received 4 codes,
1: 533 date communications link or EIC circuit fault.
2: 634 Manual lever position sensor voltage higher or lower than expected, or a/c on. The a/c was not on during tests, I just went out and double checked.
3: 648 Incorrect gear ratio fourth gear,
4: 656 Converter clutch control (CCC) continous slip error.

Forgot to mention, these are continous fault codes, not the first set of self tests.

So, if anyone knows what these mean and what to check further, or what to fix/replace please let me know. Now that I have the codes, I don't know what they mean or how to further test and determine what to do now.

Thanks in advance for your help.
