Electronic glitch.

Hello everyone. I am new here, thanks for having me. I just purchased a 2001 Lincoln LS V6 with 81000 miles on it. Nice car. But the other day as the wife and I were going down the highway, the door ajar like came on and the heater blower quit. When the light went out the fan came back on. It did this about four times. Thoughts?

Failing battery and possible alt... could also be a short somewhere or loose connection... may even be a loose battery terminal.

My Door Ajar light is on all the time now. I pulled codes from the car and it shows a short in the the left rear door. Don't remember the codes and I have not had a chance to fix it. It is not affecting the done lights but the door locks will not function with the buttons, must be done manually.
