So, i switched out the thermostat, i put it all back together, but i cant get it to stop leaking. Is there supposed to be some gasket in there or something besides the o-ring? Also, i put the O ring on the spring side of the t-stat, is that where it is supposed to go?

It doesnot show a gaket. Make sur the 2 parts are clean from any dirt or rust and look for a torgue spec maybe

yeah i put the o ring on the wrong side, i switched it and it seals real nice now.

I replaced the tstat, got it to seal, but im still overheating. I drove arround my block like 10-15 times, @30-35, and i could only get it to go to the top of the N, not like before where it quick went right to the top. Also its cooling down to normal in like 10 seconds. Im thinking its the water pump, but when the h20 pump failed on my 350 it jumped to 290 deg and wouldnt cool 20 deg for over a half hour. Im guessing its similar, and that the mark just cools quicker anyways. Is my water pump be bad?

When water pumps go they leak. Maybe there is something blocking the heater core or radiator

i am still getting coolant on the ground. but i think it was just cuz i didnt clamp the hoses back on (just wanted to test it out). The leak doesnt appear to be comming from the water pump.

also, when shes runnin, theres no pressure in the radiator lines.

First off, don't drive the vehicle until the hose clamps are on. Second, did you make sure you filled the cooling system properly, filling by the plug on the top of the cross over tube. Thirdly, if after the system is completely burped and the temperature is still climbing with no pressure in the 2 radiator hoses, I would suspect your water pump.

yeah i checked the fan, its workin...btw thanks again, that was a neet trick i didnt know about. I kinda suspected that, but i couldnt figgure out how to turn it on.

but unfortunatly its still not workin...???

Do a search on refilling the coolant. I did a fairly detailed gig explaining how to take the cap off of the reservoir, adding coolant thru the crossover tube cap, running the heater, putting on the reservoir cap after it hits the full mark and then continuing to add coolant until you 'top off' the crossover tube. Only and best way to 'burb' the coolant system.
