Emissions system light on, car kinda sluggish...enter

so im driving and my car feels a lil slower and then i see this light on

so i look it up and it says its the emissions system light

and the acceleration feels a bit rough

anyone know what this might be?

get the codes read. could be a number of things. does sound like system is bypassing maf so I'd be checking my maf sensor. but id just do that real quick just in case before I took the car to ap store to get codes read....

Is there any way to check the maf

yes and no. you can check the connection and make sure the sensor isn't gummed up. if you are real ambitious you get get a multimeter and check values vs spec in the service manual. but kinda pointless till you run codes.
