engine clips

im trying to clean my engine but cant take off the covers because those little clips are impposible to take out can anyone give me some help

What year?

The 00-02 had clips that you pushed in the center of, and lifted them out. The 03+ had clips that screwed on, just grab a phillips and turn counter clockwise.

someone founds some g affordable replacements for those at Lowes or home depot. I wish I would have hyperlinked that thread becasue I still need a few as well.

I ran into that thread and purchased several at Lowes

Hillman 1/4" nylon rivet,part #881207, .52/each compared to dealer rivets ~$5

about the engine cover. i have a 00 and theres a rubber thing that holds it down along with the clips. how do u getthat rubber piece back in the hole?

Yes i found the at Lowes also, much better clips, almost the same look, but better designed, heavy duty.

hardware, then look for drawers with labels on them, automotive fasteners is where they are
