Engine stuttered a little bit?

I got to drive my wife's LS the other day and while I was sitting in the garage it seemed like the rpm's dropped for a second and then idled fine again. I didn't think much about it.
Then at the first stoplight while I was waiting it did it again. The idle dropped and the red batt light came on but then it idled up fine again.

Has this happened to others? Anything I should be worried about?
PS. It was raining out if that had anything to do with it?

It sounds like a faulty COP (coil on plug). Mine did the same thing when I first bought it and it ran rough. Did the check engine light come on? It may also be the altenator since your battery light came on.

the battery light came on cuz the rpm's were too low.

It's a '00 V6.
I think the light came on real quick because the rpms dropped like it was going to die.
It's never done it before and hasn't done it since (just happened 2 days ago).

Mine did something similar too. It went away for a week or so and then it came back. Just keep an eye on it and keep us posted. One of the best parts of this forum is keeping everyone informed on issues like this.

Sounds to me like the IAC motor is getting sluggish and/or dirty. They aren't that expensive...may be worth the price to just throw one on. You can also check with the dealer and see if there are any PCM updates that need to be flashed.

i wouldnt worry about it too much unless its stalling. wait for it to pop a check engine light. it will if its happens more frequent and there is actually a fault
