Well it's something to do with the Electronic Throttle Control.. I'm not too knowledgeable about it that system..

It's usually caused by a failing COP, usually #4, but it could be any of them.
It could also be an issue with the throttle body, the gas pedal assembly, or the wiring.

Ur the F'n man.. geez is there anything about this car you DONT know about?

My car pulled what I can only assume was a failsafe mode today.

Coming off a stoplight about 500' I dropped a gear to get around a slow car and the car bucks like wild. After the initial whiplash there was no throttle response at all. Pulled off, shut it off, and restarted. Car ran fine after that for the rest of the day with no CEL lit.

This could weather had really played hell with it lately. Car started smoking from the right side (right side v6 is under the intake manifold) on occasion. Guessing that is the gaskets but have been too busy to do the work. Need to replace the COP and plugs as well (close to 100k).

If you treat the car right she will last for you. If you give her enough attention, you can beat on her and still make it to work every day....
