And this years-later charge, already looked-at and found baseless by the JD, is supposed to mean what to us now.

I'm sure every lib in every media outlet will jump on this and say this is proof enough that Cheney and Halliburton and even GW were in dirty dealings. Just look at the comments on there, every arm chair know it all conspiracy theorist is freaking out.
Fortunately, I know a guy who's uncle is a very wealthy prince in Nigeria....
maybe if I write him back he'll pull a few strings. It sounds like he needs a couple bucks so I think I'll have some leverage...
Nigeria is an awful, corrupt, and backwards country. The country runs on bribes.
It'd be ridiculous to take any of this article seriously.
To give some context, Nigeria is one of the countries responsible for the reemergence of Polio in the world.

No, that was Bush - and he did it while flying the planes on 9/11 right before he activated the weather machines that caused Katrina and right after he caused the coal mine disaster.The next thing we'll hear is that Cheney caused the polio!

So why are they paying the 250m?
Actually the polio was caused by two things-
Sharia practicing Muslims who wouldn't let the rural population take the vaccines.
AND- there were some side effects from the early vaccines that caused health problems that were exploited by these "anti-west" Muslims to convince the people that the shots were a conspiracy to kill or sterilize them.
And the idea that the Nigerias are "combatting" corruption is absurd.
Nothing gets done in that country without a bribe.
The real problem is that American law makes it illegal for a domestic company to operate by the local rules and customs. So while it's accepted and expected to bribe in countries like Nigeria, you won't get work if you don't. And if you do, then you're liable to be prosecuted under American law.

I thought polio was named after this guy named Markio.
Probably because they, like every other foreign company, has had to pay bribes in order to get access in the country, to move the corrupt government, and to get anyone over there to do any work.
And they are being shaken down by the Nigeria government.
And they also like to avoid being shaken down by the Justice Department as well.
But the story isn't about Cheney.
It's about international business and corrupt Nigerians.
The first story states the "The Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission investigated that joint venture extensively and found no suggestion of any impropriety by Dick Cheney in his role of CEO of Halliburton"
And apparently the charges are more directly launched at KBR, something that they say is distinct from Halliburton.
